LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Kentuckiana is a region known for the arts.

This year, Louisville and southern Indiana leaders are taking it one step further.

Officials want the public to support the YES! Fest, a year of environmental sustainability. The year-long festival brings together more than 100 arts and cultural groups from across the region.

"This year will be about learning, discovery and saying 'yes' to conversations, to exhibitions and programs about the environment and sustainability," said Gil Holland, Honorary Chairman for the YES! Fest.

Art and cultural activities will be showcased in both expected and unexpected ways, from museums and parks, to landfills and recycling centers.
